RK Griffith to Lead POWER-GEN Session on Energy Storage Integration

We are pleased to announce that RK Griffith President Jeffrey Penterson will once again be chairing a discussion at this year’s POWER-GEN International conference. The session, Integrating Energy Storage with Conventional Power Generation, will be broken up into two parts.

(Note: Jeff is co-chairing part 2)

This two-part session, respectively falling under the tracks Energy Storage Breakthroughs and Energy Storage and Integration Challenges, will explore the role of energy storage in traditional generating plants with specific focus on gas turbine plants in simple cycle or combined cycle configuration. The discussion will include case studies examining the application of energy storage, in various forms, at new and existing power plants.

Known as the world’s largest power generation event, the 2018 POWER-GEN event will take place on December 4 – 6 in Orlando, FL at the Orange County Convention Center. The 30-year-strong gathering features diverse content for all forms of energy as well as a multi-track summit and knowledge hubs, more than 900 exhibiting companies, and plenty of opportunities for networking. With a focus on technology, innovation, and policy, attendees can expect to gain insight on the future of electricity generation, including the balance between traditional and renewable sources.
